Denmark is connected by a series of walking, hiking and biking trails that wind along the rivers and the Wilson Inlet, along the heritage rail trail towards Walpole to the west and Albany to the east. Denmark is part of the Bibbulmun Track, the world-class long-distance walking trail from Perth to Albany. It is also part of the Munda Biddi Track, a biking trail that winds along the south coast and through the forests of the south-west coast.

Launch your kayak or canoe and follow the river... Hay, Frankland and Denmark Rivers.
Short Walks
Ocean Beach is set between the Wilson Inlet and the Great Southern Ocean and is the closest beach to Denmark Town. A popular surfing spot and lookout offer spectacular views over the southern ocean. Visit Ocean Beach

In Madfish Bay an island rests close to the shore. The waves at this beach come from two different directions. Visit Madfish Bay
Spectacular elevated views over William Bay National Park and Ratcliffe Bay. Plus an amazing view east along the Nullaki Peninsula. Visit Monkey Rock
Prawn Rock Channel is located just north of Ocean Beach and you will drive right past it on your way to Ocean Beach. This secluded slow running channel of water is an ideal swimming spot. Visit Prawn Rock Channel

The Bibbulmun Track
The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world's great long distance walk trails, stretching nearly 1000kms from Kalamunda, in the Perth Hills to Albany on the South Coast, through the heart of the scenic South West of Western Australia: Denmark!
The track was officially opened during Western Australia's 150th year celebrations, included involved over 1000 walkers on different stages. There are almost fifty campsites along the Track which are spaced one day's walk apart. The track passes through most of the beautiful places along the Rainbow Coast.

The water in the foreground is the outlet of the Wilson Inlet with the darker waters of the Great Southern Ocean in the background. That is where the Bibbulmun Track winds. Walking up the hill to Monkey Rock is quite a hike but well worth it for the view. There is also a magnificent view over William Bay National Park.

The Valley of the Giants is accessible with an entry fee paid at the Wilderness Discovery Centre at the Valley of the Giants. Located just off South Coast Highway, 55km west of Denmark Town.
